Boston Common Frog Pond to open Saturday

Skaters take note: The Boston Common Frog Pond is opening for the winter season on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. The skating rink is located on Boston Common, the oldest public park in the country. The Boston Common Frog Pond offers daily ice skating for $5 (free for kids), and the Skating Club of Boston Skating Academy offers private and semi-private ice skating lessons. If you’re not one to lace up and join in the icy fun, cozy up to some comfort food — like cheeseburgers, hot dogs, turkey wraps, or chicken tenders — at Frog Pond Café.

Hours

Monday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Price

Admission cost is based on a skater’s height:

58-inches and over: $5

Under 58 inches: free

Season passes are also available for purchase through the Skating Club of Boston.
